Photo Facial with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL)

Named Best Anti-Aging Facial 2005 in New York Magazine, Shizuka’s Anti-Aging Photo Facial uses Intense Pulsed Light to dramatically eliminate the signs of aging on the face in both women and men, including hyperpigmentation resulting from excessive sun exposure (sun/age spots) and broken capillaries. Photorejuvenation with IPL also reduce the redness of Rosacea, and stimulate the formation of collagen in the skin, resulting in the minimizing of fine facial wrinkles, the reduction of pore size, and an overall improvement in skin texture.

Shizuka’s Acne Facial with IPL targets the root of acne, reducing blemishes and evening the skin tone. Intense Pulsed Light is used to destroy acne-forming bacteria below the skin surface as an effective acne treatment that generally exhibits fewer negative side effects as compared to other topical and oral remedies. For optimal results, clients should be treated at 1-3 week intervals depending on skin type.

Intense Pulsed Light acne treatment can be added to any facial or microdermabrasion treatment as a facial upgrade.

Microdermabrasion

Shizuka’s Crystal Peel microdermabrasion treatment is a skin-resurfacing technique that uses medical-grade equipment to treat a variety of skin conditions.  A jet of fine crystal powder is vacuumed across the skin surface, removing dead cells, unclogging pores, evening out the skin tone, and reducing fine lines for smooth and younger-looking skin.

Chemical Peels

A Shizuka exclusive, the Total Skin Rejuvenation Peel is a safe approach to intense skin peeling that brightens and ultimately restores a healthier, more youthful appearance.  Shizuka recommends treatment once per year.

Though milder in concentration than the Total Skin Rejuvenation, Shizuka’s Lunchtime Peel is effective in revealing a smoother brighter complexion without the recovery time associated with more intense peels. Shizuka’s special acid formulation brightens and smoothes the skin texture with each session.

GentleWaves® treatment after a facial uses light emitting diodes to stimulate collagen formation and reduce redness and inflammation after peels and IPL procedures.

The Collagen Mask is a perfect indulgence on the day of an important event or if you just want to look and feel great.  Collagen fibers help to reduce redness, leaving your skin feeling smooth and supple.  Add it to the Classic Facial, Crystal Peel, or GentleWaves Facial for an extra boost of collagen.

The Lifting Upgrade tones facial muscles and oxygenates the skin as a shortened, yet effective version of Shizuka’s award winning facial.

Intense Pulsed Light is used to sterilize the pores by neutralizing acne-forming bacteria.  This may be combined with any SHIZUKA new york facial, including the Crystal Peel.

Extraction refines the look and texture of the skin by releasing clogged pores.

Enzyme peels gently exfoliate the outermost layers of the skin leaving it softer and glowing.  The Pumpkin Enzyme Peel helps to address oily and acneic skin, while the Environmental Defense Enzyme Mask combats dry and aging skin with a potent blend of vitamins and antioxidants.  Add an Enzyme Peel to an Express Facial or Wrinkle Buster treatment.
